AN UPDATED STATEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS AND OUR GATHERINGS MARCH 27, 2020 | 11:00am
One of the greatest challenges in all that is happening with COVID-19 and public gatherings is the array of information provided on both a federal, state level and Local level. For example, in the state of Florida we are currently under a 10 people mandate for public gatherings. Any violation of this is a class 2 misdemeanor due to the policy being an executive order by the governor and County commission.
Our county, Hillsbough and Polk, has a stay at home safer policy effect, made a recommendation that no gatherings of more than 10 people take place, and the CDC would like for this to continue for 8 weeks (churches are not exempt from that being a mandate; No Longer a recommendation at this point). Yet, just hours later President Trump strongly suggested that no gatherings take place in groups of 10 or more for 15 days. As we have said for several days, this is a fluid situation that is changing hour by hour.
Given our continued desire to follow the requests of our governing authorities and to remain compassionate toward those who are at risk for serious illness, we have chosen the following steps for the next two weeks: and until we are able to open Our Building again
We will offer a Sunday worship service via live stream on Sunday, March 29 and Sunday, April 5. Please gather your family together and check-in to our church website, Facebook, or YouTube by 11:00am on Sunday to view the live stream. We will provide the link for each at the bottom of this statement.
We will provide congregational singing for you to sing along with, special announcements pertaining to our ministry, and a Bible message. The auditorium will be closed to the public. Only the needed personnel to produce the live stream will be present or by Remote connection as to limit the spread.
3. A Youth Connection Statement will be released by Brother Matt concerning way the youth can stay active. This fun and interactive way, will be a great way for your children to stay connected to Matt and the Youth’s ministry. There will be singing, fun experiences, and a Bible lesson for your children from our Youth Connection Ministry. You’ll find this weekly on Facebook and YouTube later to be rebroadcasted or as directed by Brother Matt
4. All Sunday evening and mid-week activities (including meetings) have been suspended until more information develops about our ability to gather together though technology. If you have any questions about a particular ministry activity or meeting, please let us know or check the church website.
Things you can do to help

Please let our staff or your deacon know if there’s anything we can do to serve you during this stressful time. And pray. Pray that God will allow us to gather together soon. We need the church. I need you. The separation that we are experiencing only fuels my heart’s desire to long for our time together again. Until then may we be faithful to communicate to one another, pray for each other, and be faithful to embrace what opportunities have been given to us to continue hearing the Word and sharing the gospel. Your Pastor, Barry Duncan
